Exclusive volumetric prismatic panels

Today I want to talk a little about the project we are working on at the moment.

I have already said before that I really love it when I am faced with complex tasks that I need to think about and look for solutions. Because the result is always some kind of production breakthrough and victory!

Now we have an unusual project in production.
These are exclusive volumetric prismatic panels that form a single pattern:
• triangular,
• polygonal,
• with different bulge shapes and side lengths.

The project is interesting not only because of its complex relief, but also because of its different surface textures — some of the products are painted according to the RAL table, others imitate the texture of wood.

To implement the design idea, we decided to use aluminum milling technology, thanks to which we can obtain a very precise bend angle of the product. This allows for minimal gaps between different parts and very precise positioning of all panels.

At the stage of testing and production of test samples, we encountered a number of difficulties:
1) the first aluminum alloy was too “hard” and was subject to fracture at the bend points;
2) the second version of the alloy, on the contrary, turned out to be too “plastic”, and the tool practically began to “sink” in the material during operation.

Next was the search for the optimal aluminum alloy, which would allow the original design idea to become a reality. And we selected the alloy we needed, produced test samples that successfully passed all tests.
Now the production of panels and their preparation for installation is in full swing.

Such projects are not only creative processes of searching for the necessary materials and developing special engineering solutions. This is also a minimization of the customer’s financial and time costs, thanks to our developments and experience in implementing complex structures.
